APE info 2017- 18

Our students meet with coach Gary Tuesdays for 3rd period and Fridays during 4th period.

NO PE CLOTHES THIS YEAR!

reading logs due every thursday

Students are asked to read at least 3 days a week. They can read ANYTHING they like, but they must include the date, number of pages, and a short summary of what they read. Reading logs MUST be brought to school on every Thursday, so the students can fill out their data sheets and graph the number of pages read per day.

REMEMBER! Don't let the distractors win.

Student Drop off and Pick up

Parents:

In order to keep our students safe, before and after school, we ask you to drop your student off at the front of the school, where they should then go to the lobby and wait with their friends, until the bell rings at 8:10.

When picking your student up, we ask you to pick them up along the far side of the school, passed the usual parent pickup location, and just passed the portables. This allows myself and the EA's to make sure we are doing everything possible to keep your child safe from passing cars, buses, and prevent wondering.

If you have any questions, concerns, or another preference of pick-up, please email me. I am more than willing to accommodate.

NEW: Advocacy Schedule

This year we will not be having random advisory periods, but a new period called advocacy.

This class will take place right after Science on Mondays for half an hour.

DRMS has asked the teachers to create a community building concept for their classroom, and I thought it would be very rewarding and beneficial for the students to build their own business from scratch.

More information to come over the next few months!!
